Hi.
I’m the person behind Crying Pizza.
A few years ago, I had cystic acne so bad it felt like my face was plotting against me. I went on Accutane, and while it helped clear things up, the side effects were… not subtle. My skin turned into a cracked desert. I was flaky, red, constantly peeling, and felt like I was losing a battle against my own face. Moisturizers didn’t help, or clogged my pores. Everything burned.
So I started experimenting.
Coconut oil. Argan oil. Arrowroot powder. That’s it. I mixed them into a basic blend with no fragrance, no filler, no weird synthetic chemicals I couldn’t pronounce. Just smooth, plant-powered hydration. It didn’t clog my pores. It didn’t sting. It just worked — calming my skin, restoring some balance, and giving me back the ability to smile without cracking. I noticed redness and irritation decrease when I put it on overnight.
Years later, I still use it daily. Even though I’m no longer on acne meds, it keeps my skin oil balanced and calm without making me feel like I’m wearing someone else’s skincare routine. I am a skincare minimalist and this works wonders; especially in the winter.
Crying Pizza is the name I gave it because, well… sometimes that’s how it felt and people would call me that. And honestly? That name kind of stuck. Like the feeling of finally finding something that works.
This serum is for anyone who knows what it’s like to battle your skin and just wants something simple, gentle, and real. It’s not an attack. Crying Pizza is my skincare hero.
